A pulpotomy visit will be similar to a visit for fillings from the perspective of a child. While Dr. Marisol Bolivar is cleaning the tooth, she will also clean the pulp. The remaining tissues are covered with a biocompatible and antimicrobial dressing called mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA). Once these treatments have been done, we will place a dental crown to protect the tooth.
